    Double Fudge Cream Cheese Brownies

    • Brownies:
    • 1 cup butter
    • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 cup chocolate chips
    • Filling:
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
    • 1 tablespoon flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350.
    2. Grease a 9x13x2" baking pan
    3. For Brownies: Microwave butter and baking bars in large microwave safe bowl on high for 1 minutes; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    4. Stir in sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, salt and vanilla extract. Gently stir in morsels.
    5. Spread half of batter unto prepared baking pan.
    6. For Filling: Beat sugar, egg, cream cheese, butter, flour and vanilla in small mixer bowl until creamy.
    7. Spread over brownie batter.
    8. Spoon remaining batter over cream cheese mixture.
    9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from sides of pan.
    10. Cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars.
    11. Store tightly covered in refrigerator.
