Peppermint Pattie Brownies

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 4 eggs
- Beat above until well beaten.
- Add:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 large can Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- Bake at 350 degrees, after 20 minutes add 1 (13 ounce) bag of miniature peppermint patties on top.
- Bake another 15 minutes.
- Frosting:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt 1/2 cup butter with chocolate chips. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over baked layer. Refrigerate. Cut into bars.
- Yield: About 24 brownies
