    Pie: French Silk Chocolate Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 package refrigerated pie crust
    • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut into pieces
    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 4 eggs
    • 1/2 cup sweetened whipped cream


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    2. Prepare pie crust as directed on package for one crust baked shell using a 9" pie pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. Cool completely (30 minutes).

    3. Melt chocolate in microwave. In small bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add cooled chocolate and vanilla; blend well. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating at high speed for 2 minutes after each addition. Beat until mixture is smooth and fluffy.

    4. Pour into cooled baked shell. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Top with whipped cream.
