• 6 Milky Way candy bars (standard size)
  
• 1 cup butter or margarine
  
• 2 cups sugar
  
• 4 eggs
  
• 2 1/2 cups flour
  
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  
• 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
  
• Topping
  
• 3 Milky Way candy bars
  
• 1 stick butter or margarine
  
• 1 tablespoon milk
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
  
• 1 cup powdered sugar
  






Instructions



1. In a saucepan, melt candy bars with 1/2 cup butter over low heat.
   
   
2. In a mixing bowl, cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Mix flour with baking soda. Add alternately with buttermilk. Beat until smooth. Add candy mixture, then vanilla. Bake in a 9x13" pan for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
   
   
3. Topping: Melt candy bars with butter. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
