Pie: Dutch Apple Pie

- 7 to 8 large cooking apples
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg
- 1 (9 inch) pie shell
- Topping:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 2/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
Instructions
- Melt butter, add apples and toss until coated. Add sugar and cinnamon, toss until well coated. Bake a 9 inch pie shell for 10 minutes. Pour apple mixture into pie shell.
- Topping: Combine the rolled oats and cinnamon. Combine brown sugar and flour, then add to the rolled oats mixture. Cream butter and add to the above mixture. Sprinkle over unbaked apples.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
