    Cake: Pineapple Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups self-rising flour, sift and then measure
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup butter
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • Glaze:
    • 1 cup batter
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 medium size can crushed pineapple


    Instructions


    1. Mix first five ingredients. Reserve 1 cup batter. Pour remaining batter into three 9 inch cake pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

    2. Combine glaze ingredients in the top of a double boiler. Cook until thick and glossy. Spread between layers, on top and sides of cake.
