Cake: Strawberry Cake

• 2 1/4 cups flour
  
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
  
• 1/2 cup corn oil
  
• 3/4 cup sugar
  
• 1 small package strawberry jello
  
• 3 eggs
  
• 3/4 cup buttermilk
  
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed
  






Instructions



1. In bowl, combine eggs, oil, sugar, jello and buttermilk. Mix well. Add dry ingredients and beat with electric mixer for 3 minutes. Drain 1/2 cup juice from frozen strawberries and reserve. Fold berries into batter. Pour into two greased and floured round cake pans. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
   
   
2. Make icing of 1/4 cup butter, 1 box powdered sugar and reserved strawberry juice. Ice cake.
