- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 (1 pint) jar marshmallow cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or fruit
Instructions
- Bring water, sugar and salt to a rolling boil in a heavy pan and continue to boil until 250 degrees or hard ball stage.
- Add boiling syrup to marshmallow cream all at once.
- Stir until mixture forms soft peaks.
- Add vanilla and nuts or fruit.
- Stir well and work quickly because it sets up pretty fast.
- Drop in puffs on buttered foil or cookie sheet.
