- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans, divided
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Lightly butter a 9x13x2" baking pan; set aside.
- In a heavy saucepan, combine butter and sugar.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Stir in 2 cups of pecans.
- Pour into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips, when chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top.
- Let cool completely and break into pieces.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Makes about 2 pounds of candy.
