    • 1 cup butter
    • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans, divided
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375.
    2. Lightly butter a 9x13x2" baking pan; set aside.
    3. In a heavy saucepan, combine butter and sugar.
    4. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    5. Stir in 2 cups of pecans.
    6. Pour into the prepared baking pan.
    7. Bake 15 minutes.
    8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips, when chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee.
    9. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans on top.
    10. Let cool completely and break into pieces.
    11. Store in an airtight container.
    12. Makes about 2 pounds of candy.
