    Beef: Beef Cabbage Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 small head of cabbage, cut into cubes
    • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fourths
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
    • 1 dash paprika


    Instructions


    1. Salt and pepper the cabbage to taste and cook until well done; drain.

    2. Salt and cook potatoes until well done; drain.

    3. Mash potatoes with butter, but make sure they are on the dry side.

    4. Place hamburger in large skillet, add onion and cook until well done; drain off all the fat.

    5. Stir in cumin, salt and pepper.

    6. Line a baking dish that is atleast 3 inches deep with cabbage.

    7. Place meat mixture on top of the cabbage.

    8. Cover the top with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with paprika.

    9. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

    10. Makes 4 large servings.
