    Mushroom Zucchini Meat Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • Dash pepper
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup sliced zucchini
    • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
    • 1 (8 ounce) can pizza sauce
    • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
    • American or Cheddar cheese slices


    Instructions


    1. In a mixing bowl, combine egg, milk, salt and pepper. Add ground beef; mix well. Press meat mixture into bottom and onto sides of a 9 inch pie plate to form a shell. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Drain off fat. Meanwhile, in a covered medium skillet cook chopped onion in a small amount of water until onion is almost tender and water is evaporated. You may add water as needed if it evaporates before onion is cooked. Stir in sliced zucchini and mushrooms; cook uncovered 2 to 3 minutes more or until vegetables are tender. Stir in pizza sauce and prepared mustard; heat through. Spoon vegetable mixture over baked meat shell; place cheese on top. Return to 350 degree oven for 5 minutes more until cheese melts.
