    Beef: Tamale Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 yellow onion
    • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
    • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
    • 1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 (6 ounce) can black olives, chopped
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup cornmeal
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. In a large skillet, cook meat, onion and garlic until done; drain fat.

    3. Add tomatoes and creamed corn.

    4. Add milk, olives, eggs and cornmeal. Bring to a boil.

    5. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole dish.

    6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

    7. Put the cheese on top for the last 5 minutes of baking.
