Chocolate Chip Confetti Cookies

- 3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg and mix. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add nuts and chips.
- Drop by 2 level tablespoonfuls into a mound for each cookie. Space them about 3 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes. Cookies will appear moist but do not over bake. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes they will finish baking on the sheets. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.

Final Comments
Original recipes calls for brown sugar, 1 cup chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chunks. I used lowfat milk, a large egg and was very generous with the chocolate chips (all flavors). I baked for 9 to 10 minutes. The cookies do not appear baked but they do finish baking on the sheets. I let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes before placing on a wire rack. I doubled the recipe and ended up with 6 dozen cookies.
