- 1 cup butter flavor crisco shortening
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cream shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended.
- Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll balls of dough in mixture.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400 for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Remove to cooling rack.
