    Beef: Broccoli And Beef Pasta

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups broccoli florets
    • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
    • 1 (14 1/2) ounce can italian style tomatoes, undrained
    • 1 (10 ounce) can beef broth
    • 1 pound lean ground beef or beef tips
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 2 cups cooked rotini pasta
    • 3 ounces shredded cheddar cheese or grated parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Combine beef and garlic in a large nonstick skillet. Cook over high heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, breaking meat apart with a wooden spoon. Strain in a colander to remove excess fat and drippings. Add beef mixture to crockpot.

    2. Layer broccoli, onion, basil, oregano, thyme, tomatoes, tomato paste and beef broth in the crockpot. Cover, cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

    3. Serve over pasta and sprinkle cheese on top.
