    Chicken: Buffalo Wings And Bleu Cheese Dip

    List of Ingredients


    • Wings:
    • 16 chicken wings, about 3 pounds
    • 1 1/2 cups bottled chili sauce
    • 3 to 4 tablespoons bottled hot pepper sauce
    • Bleu Cheese Dip:
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon white vinegar


    Instructions


    1. Cut off and discard wing tips (or reserve them to make chicken broth).

    2. Cut each wing into 2 sections.

    3. Rinse chicken; pat dry.

    4. Place wings on a greased broiler pan rack.

    5. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for about 10 minutes or until chicken is browned, turning once.

    6. Transfer to a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, coated with nonstick cooking spray.

    7. Combine chili sauce and hot pepper sauce.

    8. Pour over wings.

    9. Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hours or on high 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

    10. Serve with bleu cheese dip or ranch dressing, if desired.

    11. Bleu Cheese Dip: Combine ingredients in a blender container.

    12. Cover and blend until smooth.

    13. Store dip in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in refrigerator.

    14. Top with additional crumbled bleu cheese before serving, as desired.
