    Chicken: Crockpot Chicken

    • I whole chicken (I use a perdue oven stuffer)
    • 1 package dry Italian salad dressing mix


    Instructions


    1. Using aluminum foil, make 3 fist sized balls and place them on the bottom of your crockpot.

    2. Remove the giblets from the chicken and place it breast side down on top of foil balls.

    3. Sprinkle the dry package of Italian salad dressing over the chicken.

    4. Cook on low (that's right, add no liquid) 6 to 8 hours.

    5. The foil balls keep the chicken out of the accumulated liquid, preventing it from steaming instead of roasting.

    6. Variations are endless, you can use any type of dry seasoning you like. I've tried a teriyaki one and ranch dressing, both good.

    7. I recommend mashed potatoes to go with accumulated juices.
