- 1 1/2 pounds dry navy beans (3 cups)
- 9 cups water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 additional cup water
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons dark molasses
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 pound salt pork, diced or ground
Instructions
- Cook dry beans in 9 cups water, simmer 30 minutes then remove from heat and let stand for 1 hour. Drain and place in crockpot. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 houra or on high 4 to 6 hours. Stir occasionally.
