    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 pounds dry navy beans (3 cups)
    • 9 cups water
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 additional cup water
    • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
    • 2 tablespoons dark molasses
    • 1 tablespoon salt
    • 1/4 pound salt pork, diced or ground


    Instructions


    1. Cook dry beans in 9 cups water, simmer 30 minutes then remove from heat and let stand for 1 hour. Drain and place in crockpot. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 houra or on high 4 to 6 hours. Stir occasionally.
