Soup: Pea Soup With Bacon

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped lean bacon
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 8 cups boiling water
- 1 pound split dried peas
- 3 parsley sprigs
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 3 potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and place on low setting. Cook 8 hours or more. Before serving, mash ingredients carefully with potato masher and stir well.
