    Sweet And Sour Meatballs

    List of Ingredients


    • Meatballs:
    • 2 pounds ground beef
    • 1 1/4 cups bread crumbs
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon pepper
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
    • Sauce:
    • 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, juice reserved
    • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
    • 1/4 cup cold water
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1/2 cup chopped green peppers


    Instructions


    1. Combine all meatball ingredients. Shape into 60 meatballs. Brown in nonstick skillet, rolling so all sides are browned. Place meatballs in crockpot.
    2. Pour juice from pineapple into skillet. Stir into drippings. Combine cornstarch and cold water. Add to skillet and stir until thickened.
    3. Stir in ketchup and worcestershire sauce. Season with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Add green peppers and pineapple. Pour over meatballs.
    4. Cover and cook on low 6 hours.
    5. Makes 6 to 8 main dish servings, or 20 appetizer servings.
