    Chocolate Cream Cheese Streusel Bars

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 3/4 cups unsifted flour
    • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
    • 1 cup cold margarine or butter
    • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 egg
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350.
    2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and cocoa; cut in margarine until crumbly (mixture will be dry).
    3. Reserving 2 cups crumb mixture, press remainder firmly on bottom of 13x9" baking pan.
    4. Bake 15 minutes.
    5. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth.
    6. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
    7. Pour evenly over baked crust.
    8. Combine reserved crumb mixture with nuts if desired; sprinkle evenly over cheese mixture.
    9. Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly.
    10. Cool.
    11. Chill.
    12. Cut into bars.
    13. Store covered in refrigerator.
