    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter, softened
    • 3 large eggs
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chunks
    • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a small bowl, combine flour and sugar. Using a pastry blender or two forks work, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.
    3. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, syrup, melted butter and vanilla. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Pour over crust. Bake 25 minutes. Cool to set, then cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
    4. Yield: About 2 dozen
