Buttercup Bake Shop Milk Chocolate Icing

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 6 ounces milk chocolate
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 6 to 7 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup hot scalded milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
- Using a small pan, stir butter and chocolate over low heat until melted and smooth. Stir in cocoa and mix thoroughly. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Pour the chocolate mixture into a large bowl with 1/2 of the sugar and 1/2 of the milk. Beat on medium speed. Add remaining sugar and milk and the vanilla. Add extra sugar if needed.
- Will frost 2 to 3 layer cake.
