    • 3/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup cream
    • 2 cups dark brown sugar (or more for richer caramel flavor)
    • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • Confectioners' sugar (enough to make spreadable consistency)


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter and cream together.
    2. While hot, stir in brown sugar.
    3. Cool and stir in vanilla.
    4. Stir in salt and confectioners sugar as needed.
