    Salsa Swiss Steak

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 teaspoons oil
    • 1 1/2 pounds boneless top round steak trimmed of fat and cut into 5 pieces
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 medium onion halved length wise and sliced
    • 1/2 of a medium green bell pepper cut into bite-sized strips
    • 1 can healthy request cream of mushroom soup
    • 3/4 cup thick and chunky salsa


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat until hot.

    2. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper.

    3. Place steak in skillet, cook 4 to 6 minutes, or until well browned, turning once.

    4. Transfer steak to a 4 or 6 quart slow cooker.

    5. Top with onion and bell pepper.

    6. In same skillet, combine soup and salsa; mix well.

    7. Pour over vegetables and steak.

    8. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

    9. Remove steak pieces from slow cooker; place on serving platter.

    10. Stir sauce well and serve over steak.

    11. Makes 5 servings at 6 points each.
