    Tangy Pork Chops

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 pork chops 1/2" thick
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
    • 2 medium onions chopped
    • 2 celery ribs chopped
    • 1 large green pepper chopped
    • 1 (14 1/2 ounce ) can stewed tomatoes
    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 beef bouillon cube
    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons water


    Instructions


    1. Place pork chops in a slow cooker.

    2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    3. Add onions, celery, green pepper and tomatoes.

    4. Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and bouillon.

    5. Pour over vegetables.

    6. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.

    7. Mix cornstarch and water.

    8. Stir into liquid in slow cooker.

    9. Cover and cook on high 30 minutes or until thick.

    10. Serve over rice if desired.

    11. 4 servings at 5 points each (excluding rice).



    Final Comments


    Substitute 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts halves for the pork and let it cook 6 to 8 hours, it seems like you get about 8 servings, especially when it cooks down and the chicken falls apart.
