    White Bean And Green Chile Pepper Soup

    • 2 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans rinsed and drained
    • 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
    • 1 (4 1/2) ounce can diced green chiles
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin divided
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 (14 1/2) ounce can fat free chicken broth
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
    • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • 1/3 cup sour cream (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Combine beans, onion, chiles, garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon of the ground cumin in a slow cooker.

    2. Cook on low 8 hours or on high 4 hours.

    3. Stir in cilantro, olive oils and remaining 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin.

    4. Garnish with sour cream if desired.
