    Beef: American Cheese Meatloaf

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
    • 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon fine dried bread crumbs
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
    • 1 can healthy request tomato soup
    • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    • 3 slices reduced fat american cheese


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x5" loaf pan with butter flavor cooking spray.

    2. In a large bowl, combine meat, bread crumbs,onion, green pepper and 1/3 cup tomato soup. Mix well to combine. Pat mixture into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes.

    3. Stir mustard, parsley flakes and black pepper into remaining tomato soup.Spread soup mixture over partially baked meatloaf. Evenly arrange cheese slices over top. Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until meatloaf is cooked through and cheese has melted. Place loaf pan on a wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Cut into 6 servings.

    4. Makes 6 servings at 209 calories each.
