Ground Beef: Barbecued Meatballs

List of Ingredients
- 3 pounds extra lean ground beef
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup cracker crumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- Sauce:
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
Instructions
- Combine all the meatball ingredients (mixture will be soft). Shape into 80 meatballs (walnut size). Place meatballs in a single layer on wax paper lined cookie sheets. Freeze until solid. Wrap and store in freezer until ready to use. Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- To prepare meatballs and sauce: Place frozen meatballs in a single layer in two 13x9 baking pans. Pour on the sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
