    Italian Meatballs With A Secret Ingredient

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground chuck
    • 1/2 pound ground veal
    • 1/2 pound ground pork
    • 1/2 cup chopped flat leaf parsley
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup flavored dry bread crumbs
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon coarse pepper
    • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
    • 1 pound Mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
    • Tomato based pasta sauce
    • Hot Cooked Spaghetti


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, ground veal, ground pork, parsley, milk, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic, salt, pepper and eggs. Mix well. With moistened hands, shape mixture into 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Makes 12.

    2. Cut mozzarella cheese into 12 cubes. Insert 1 cheese cube into the center of each meatball.

    3. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil. saute meatballs until browned (cook a single layer at a time). Add meatballs to pasta sauce. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

    4. To serve, mound meatballs in center of a large platter. Surround with spaghetti. Pour pasta sauce over all. Sprinkle with additional grated parmesan cheese, if desired.
