    Pork: Pork Chops And Pinto Beans

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 center cut pork loin chops
    • 2 teaspoons ground cumin, divided
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • Vegetable cooking spray
    • 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans, undrained
    • 1/2 cup salsa
    • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
    • 2 green onions, sliced


    Instructions


    1. Trim fat from pork chops. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with 1 teaspoon ground cumin, garlic powder, ground red pepper and salt.

    2. Place pork chops on rack of broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil pork chops 5 1/2 inches from heat, 5 minutes on each side.

    3. While pork chops broil, combine remaining teaspoon ground cumin, beans and remaining 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered, 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    4. Serve pork chops with beans.
