    Pork: Pork Chops Diablo

    • 1 cup bread crumbs
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1/8 teaspoon ceyenne pepper
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 tablespoon dijon style mustard
    • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste
    • 4 center cut pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick)


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.

    2. In a resealable plastic bag, combine bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, basil, and cayenne; shake to mix well.

    3. In a shallow bowl, beat egg with mustard and hot pepper sauce until frothy. Dip pork chops first into egg mixture, then drop, 2 at a time, into bag with crumb mixture. Shake vigorously to coat with crumbs.

    4. Arrange coated pork chops on prepared baking sheet. Bake until pork is cooked through and no longer pink, about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
