Pork: Pork Chops Diablo

- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/8 teaspoon ceyenne pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon dijon style mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste
- 4 center cut pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.
- In a resealable plastic bag, combine bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, basil, and cayenne; shake to mix well.
- In a shallow bowl, beat egg with mustard and hot pepper sauce until frothy. Dip pork chops first into egg mixture, then drop, 2 at a time, into bag with crumb mixture. Shake vigorously to coat with crumbs.
- Arrange coated pork chops on prepared baking sheet. Bake until pork is cooked through and no longer pink, about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
