Beef: Tomato Beef Stroganoff

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into stir fry strips
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 (19 or 28 ounce) can Delmonte original style stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Brown steak strips on both sides. Stir in onion and mushrooms and saute 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil; simmer about 5 minutes. Combine sour cream and flour; stir into pan and heat gently until thickened. Serve over hot cooked noodles or rice.
- Note: Round steak may be used, but increase simmer time to about 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Makes 4 servings.
