    Mexican Beef Sandwiches

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 pounds boneless beef roast
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
    • 1 (16 ounce) jar picante sauce or salsa
    • 4 teaspoons chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon ceyenne pepper or hot pepper sauce
    • 12 hamburger buns


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325.
    2. In dutch oven, place roast.
    3. Sprinkle with onions and garlic.
    4. Cover.
    5. Bake 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender and shreds easily.
    6. This can also be done all day in a crockpot.
    7. Remove roast from pan; cool slightly.
    8. Set pan and drippings aside.
    9. Shred roast with fork, removing any fat.
    10. In pan with drippings, or empty crockpot contents into large pan, place roast and all ingredients except buns.
    11. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until beef mixture is heated through.
    12. Serve on buns.
