    Pine Tavern Cinnamon Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup milk (scalded)
    • 1 package yeast
    • 1 egg
    • 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour
    • butter
    • cinnamon
    • sugar
    • raisins optional
    • nuts optional


    Instructions


    1. Combine oil, honey and salt.
    2. Pour in hot milk and let cool to luke warm.
    3. Add yeast, then egg.
    4. Stir in flour. Add only enough to make dough firm enough to handle.
    5. Cover and let stand until double. Punch down and let rise again.
    6. Roll into a rectangle.
    7. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
    8. Add raisins and or nuts if desired.
    9. Roll up and slice 1" thick.
    10. Let rise again.
    11. Bake at 375 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    12. Ice with a glaze of powdered sugar, milk and vanilla (or maple flavoring) or a cream cheese and honey glaze.
