- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 cubes chicken bouillon
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Melt margarine in a saucepan.
- Add flour and stir well with a whisk until a thick paste has formed.
- Allow to cook until frothy and bubbly.
- Dissolve bouilon in hot water.
- Slowly add the resulting broth to the paste, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
- Heat until boiling.
- Season with garlic powder and pepper to taste.
