    Beef: Boy Scout Cowboy Stew

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 (28 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
    • 2 (15 1/4 ounce) cans whole kernel corn
    • 2 (15 ounce) cans whole green beans
    • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can red beans, drained and rinsed
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon ceyenne pepper
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.

    2. In a stockpot or dutch oven, combine ground beef, tomatoes, corn, red beans, green beans and onion.

    3. Season with oregano, ceyenne pepper and salt and pepper to taste.

    4. Cover and simmer for atleast 50 minutes over medium low heat.

    5. The longer this cooks, the better flavor it has.
