    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup chopped celery
    • 1 cup chopped carots
    • 2 (16 ounce) cans tomato puree
    • 3 cups water
    • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
    • 1/4 cup barley
    • 5 potatoes, diced
    • Salt and Pepper
    • 2 teaspoons accent
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon thyme (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Fry ground beef in soup pot; drain. Add the rest of the ingredients, except potatoes. Cook until vegetables are tender, not mushy. Add potatoes and cook until tender.
