Meatball Chowder

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- Dash of pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, dry or fresh
- 3 tablespoons cracker , bread or corn flake crumbs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 3 cups hot water
- 3 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 cups sliced celery
- 2 tablespoons rice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
- 2 tablespoons dry onion or 1/2 cup fresh onion
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (6 ounce) can Mexicorn
Instructions
- Combine first 7 ingredients and make 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Dip in flour and brown in fat. Add all the rest of the ingredients except Mexicorn. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are done. Use a large (about 8 quart pot or dutch oven) kettle. Add corn and cook 10 minutes longer.
