    Quick and Easy Meaty Mexican Chili

    1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

    2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce

    2 cups water

    16-ounce jar of salsa

    1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained

    3 to 5 tablespoons chili powder

    1 teaspoon garlic salt

    1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules

    1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked, optional

    Shredded cheddar cheese, as needed, optional

    In a four-quart Dutch oven cook ground beef, half at a time, until brown. Drain fat. Return all beef to Dutch oven. Stir in tomato sauce, water, salsa, tomatoes, chili powder, garlic salt and bouillon granules. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Serve over macaroni and top with cheese, if desired. Makes six to eight servings.
