    Green Bell Peppers: Stuffed Green Peppers

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 medium peppers
    • Salt and pepper
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1/3 cup chopped onion
    • 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
    • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
    • 4 ounces sharp processed cheese or cheez whiz


    Instructions


    1. Cut off tops of peppers. Remove seeds and membranes. Precook cups in boiling salted water 5 minutes Drain. Sprinkle inside of cups generously with salt.

    2. Cook meat and onions until meat is lightly browned. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper. Add tomatoes,water,rice and sauces. Cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 15 minutes.

    3. Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers, stand upright in baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes.
