    Recipe Introduction


    Bake at 375F.

    One of our most famous Frazier mothers, Mrs. Gilmore, was the Regional winner of the 1966 Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest!!


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup warm water
    • 1 pkg. dry yeast
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 1/4 cups flour
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 cup soft shortening


    Instructions


    1. In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt and about half of the flour. Beat thoroughly for 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening. Gradually beat in the remaining flour until smooth. Shape; let rise until double in size in a warm place (50 to 60 minutes).
    2. Drop by spoon into greased muffin tins (about half full). Let rise until double in size.
    3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375F. Immediately dip in melted butter then in a mixture of 3/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Serve hot.
