- Cut 1 fresh bunch of broccoli in coarse pieces. Heat 4 to 5 TBS. of olive oil in a skillet; add 3 TBS. minced onions and 1 clove of garlic, minced. Cook slowly until tender. Add broccoli 3 TBS. water, 1/2 tsp. oregano and salt to taste. Cover tightly and cook slowly for about 15 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Serve immediately.
