Cheese Supper Bread

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons corn oil
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1 cup Cheddar cheese -- shredded
2 tablespoons butter -- melted
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
Recipe
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, corn oil, egg, milk and 1/2 cup cheese. Stir just until dry ingredients are moistened, the dough will be stiff but sticky.
Transfer dough to pie plate and with flour hands pat out evenly. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with remaining cheese and poppy seeds.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cut into wedges and serve hot. Serves 8
