Dissolve one pkg. yeast in ½ cup water. Add one teas. baking powder and one Tbsp. sugar. Set aside.
Scald one cup milk. Add 1/3 cup butter and Add 1/3 cup sugar and a dash of salt. Cool.
Beat 2 eggs and add to cooled milk mixture.
Combine milk mixture with 4½ cups flour in a large bowl.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Shape and let rise for 2 hours before baking. I usually shape, like a long snake(about 6 inches), and then loop it.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 425º until golden brown.
