Meatball Sub Casserole
posted by grose1. For a quicker casserole dish use already prepared meatballs which you can buy at any grocery store.

1/3 c. chopped green onions
1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
3 tbl. grated parmesan cheese
1 lb. ground beef
1 loaf of italian bread cut into 1-inch slices(do this when you need to,all this bread might not be used
1 package of cream cheese
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. mozzarella cheese(shredded and divided)
1 28oz. jar of spaghetti sauce
1 c. water
2 garlic cloves,minced
Recipe
In a bowl, combine onion,crumbs and parmesan cheese.
Add beef and mix well.Shape into one once balls.Place on a rack on a shallow baking pan. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes or until no longer pink.
Meanwhile, arrange bread in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9x2 baking dish.Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise,italian seasoning and pepper;spread over the bread. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Mozz.cheese.
Combine sauce, water and garlic;add meatballs.Pour over cheese mixture; sprinkle with remaining mozz.cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes.
