1 lb. ground beef or Italian sausage or a mixture
1 med. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. garlic, chopped
4 oz. or more sliced mushrooms
1/2 lb. sliced pepperoni
28 or 32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
3 c. rigatoni or other small pasta, cooked and drained
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
*crushed red pepper flakes (optional, to taste)
Recipe
In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, green pepper, garlic and mushrooms
until meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain. Stir in pepperoni,
pepper flakes and spaghetti sauce. Place noodles in a greased l3x9" baking
dish. Top with the beef mixture; sprinkle with cheese. You can add extra
pepperoni in thin strips on top of the cheese. Bake uncovered, at 375F.
for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for l0 minutes before serving.
