    4 eggs, beaten
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1 cup cake flour
    1 pound chopped dates
    1/2 pound candied pineapple
    1/4 pound chopped pecans
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 pound candied cherries

    Beat eggs and beat in sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt. Mix
    well. Stir in fruit and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie
    sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
