Peppermint Candy Cookies

List of Ingredients





1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour

Filling
1/2 cup 1/4 pound crushed pink peppermint stick candy
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 teaspoon milk
1 drop red food coloring

Candy Sugar Mixture
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons crushed peppermint candy

1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Cream butter with sugar. Add vanilla creaming well. Slowly add flour until
mixture is smooth. Add nuts. Chill dough while making Peppermint filling and
peppermint candy sugar mixture.
Filling
1/2 cup 1/4 pound crushed pink peppermint stick candy
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 teaspoon milk
1 drop red food coloring
Combine candy and sugar. Add cream cheese and gradually add milk until
creamy. Add food coloring.
Candy Sugar Mixture
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons crushed peppermint candy
Shape dough in to round smooth balls. Make a hole in the center of each to
fill after baking. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 12 to
15 minutes until set. Roll in peppermint candy sugar mixture. Fill holes
with 1/4 teaspoon peppermint filling. Makes 4 dozen cookies
