Recipe Introduction


What I have written is the recipe as it was stated. That this is a hand-me-down recipe is obvious in the "large" cup crisco. I like to bake these until they are lightly browned on the bottoms. If the tops brown, the cookie is overbaked.


List of Ingredients




2 c. sugar
1 large c. Crisco
Cream together.

4 eggs, beaten
5 T. Sour Cream
1/2 t. soda
2 heaping t. baking powder
2 T. vanilla
5 c. flour or enough to make a soft dough

Bake 7-8 minutes at 375 degrees til just done but NOT brown.
